Caring for Carers

Pressures of Life in Healthcare

Doctors’ mental health topic attracts most stigmaitising attitudes regarding the competence and career progression and hence needs candid discussion to reduce such stigma.

Imagine investing life until 40+ in studies and then deal with all pressures including workplace issues, patient expectations, regulation, CPD, competition and so on…No doubt that Beyond Blue survey  in 2013 revealed that Doctors reported substantially higher rates of psychological distress and suicidal thoughts compared to both the Australian population and other Australian professionals.

Mission Zero & Doctors’ Mental Health

Mission Zero is actively engaged at various levels- provide a platform to destigmatise mental health issues in doctors, create awareness in medical fraternity and general public, conduct surveys to identify and normalize issues and research to develop+share coping mechanisms.

Programs for Doctors

“A Resilient Doctor”

As per research, doctors are more likely to seek treatment and minimise the impact of mental health issues on their work.

Mission Zero is developing a program for doctors, with non-medicalised approach, which will share proven coping mechanisms to build emotional resilience, so they are more able to support themselves, others around them and their patients.
